Yutong JIA

Yutong has been learning music since a young age and has a deep passion for it. With her unique perception abilities, she is highly sensitive and attuned to capturing the details of film visuals and storytelling. Through continuous practice, she has gained extensive experience. Currently based in London, she collaborates with directors from institutions such as the London Film School, London South Bank University, and the London College of Communication, UAL, Rambert School etc. Her work includes scoring for films in genres such as family, sci-fi, emotional drama, abstract modern, and dance-infused pieces. She creates music for a variety of ensembles and for different type of music such as film, theatre, live music and dance.

Recent work, she recorded her large orchestral work, March of Pioneers, in 2025 at Royal College of Music , alongside the renowned conductor and composer Matt Dunkley at the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall. In the UK’s Duke’s Hall, she served as a composer and arranged a piano solo for a New Year’s concert. Her film score The Promise, as well as electronic music pieces, were featured at The Denny Awards International Competition for Electronic Music, part of the Denver International Festival of Arts & Technology, where she won a bronze medal and an Outstanding Showcase Award, among others.

She has previously collaborated on the film Three Wish, which has garnered numerous awards. The film was nominated in the Best Director category at the Budapest Film Festival, won Best Feature Film Director and Best Screenplay at the Berlin International Art Film Festival, received an Honorable Mention for Best Feature Film at the Košice International Film Festival, and claimed the titles of Best International Feature Film and Best Actress in a Feature Film at the Evolution Mallorca International Film Festival 2021, etc.

Outside of music, she is an energetic and cheerful person who loves life. She enjoys traveling, photography, and documenting her experiences, always filled with love and positive energy.
